“ I ate lunch at the Village Corner for the first time, and I really enjoyed it. We started off with the sausage balls that come with hot honey, and it was so good. I had the shrimp & grits, that were outstanding. They give you a small chocolate with the check that was a pleasant surprise. I wished I lived closer to the Village Corner so I could eat here often. The bar looks really cool, and I will have a beer the next time I am here. ”
“ Enjoyed a very good early morning breakfast. The server was absolutely outstanding. Great conversation, kept the coffee cup filled. Ordered the Andoullie Hash. Phenomenal breakfast bowl. Savory taste, splash of hot sauce to balance out the flavor. Hearty portion, beautiful fried sunny side up egg. Potatoes were filling and seasoned just enough. Will definitely be back for other options, and to try the dinner. They recently opened up for breakfast/brunch so you NEED to go try things out! Finished off the meal with a little in-house made sweet chocolate bite. CHEF'S KISS! ”
“ We love coming here for brunch. We ordered the shrimp and grits along with the kids' waffle with bacon. The shrimp and grits were very good, and the sauce was great. My daughter had a waffle, and it was sooooo good! I also enjoyed the mimosa flight and appreciated being able to try flavors I hadn't experienced before. Everything was delicious. Our server was absolutely amazing! (I can't remember her name, but I believe it started with a K.) This restaurant has parking in front of the building, which is very convenient. They also offer nice indoor and outdoor dining options ”
“ We sat outside, just in time for happy hour and got a bunch of goodies. The fried pickles are the BEST, so I highly recommend. The Brussels, deviled eggs, Caesar wrap (with fried chicken), and the chicken sandwich was everything we got, it was all so delicious. You can tell everything was made in house. Our server Maria, was so sweet and helpful. Will definitely be back and hopefully she will be our server again! ”
“ I got the salmon and grits and my husband got the sausage and gravy and corner stone breakfast. We really enjoyed our food and the staff was so nice to accommodate my requests to replace the shrimp with salmon. 10 out of 10 experience ”
“ What a great time tonight! It’s that time of year when Cabarrus County Burger Madness gets us out of the house to visit new restaurants and try some interesting burger creations. First stop this year was Village Corner Comfort Kitchen & Bar. My husband and I shared the Southern Burger. This burger was the perfect blend of our favorite Southern treats- Fried Green Tomato, Pimento Cheese, and Duke’s! Also topped with bacon and fresh lettuce, this burger was very pleasing to the palate. We were glad we stopped in for the burger, and especially glad we took our time to chat with our server, Marion, and drink creator, Mackenzie. Both of these lovely ladies were very personable, accommodating, and could not stop smiling. You could taste the love and passion in the Coconut Margarita and the Espresso Martini that went into Mackenzie’s creations. Our bill even came with exquisite chocolate mints shaped as a train and a space ship! If you have not yet been to this corner of Afton, we recommend visiting. You will not be disappointed. One word of advice- the banana pudding has peanut butter and chocolate blended in. Not exactly the typical southern banana pudding we’ve been accustomed to, but it’s Over the Top delicious! We will definitely be back! - Maybe next time for Brunch! ”
“ Came here for brunch with a few friends and was really delighted. The service and the food were both excellent. It was a nice atmosphere and the prices were reasonable. What else could you ask for? I will definitely be back! ”
“ Found the village corner, Comfort, kitchen and bar because of its ratings on Google and was not disappointed. There were four of us and each ordered a different part of the menu and each one of the dishes was very tasty and delicious. The sliced fried chicken on top of a salad and chicken salad was very tender and tasty. The broccoli Caesar salad was interesting and the two salads that were ordered were plenty large. This was a good place to catch a bite to eat. A cute little bear caught my eye and found it is filled with “hot honey” which is good on many different foods and is a mixture of Texas Pete’s and honey. ”
